Accountant (m/f/d) full-time or part-time

The Import-Export Peter Hoch GmbH is a successful terrarium company that has been keeping terrarium animals for over 47 years. Our animal facility is unique, comprising over 5,000 terrariums and constantly containing 200-300 different species. Our products are developed and partly produced in-house. They are successfully used by professionals in many zoos and research centres, and we also have simple solutions for beginners and children. Our employees work and research every day to improve our understanding of animals and to provide products and information for species-appropriate terrarium keeping.

We are looking for an accountant (m/f/d) to support our team as soon as possible.

The activities include, among others:

Financial accounting (accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger)
Monthly, quarterly & annual financial statements (HGB/IFRS)
Monitor bank bookings & payment transactions
Reconcile & clarify accounts
Support with tax returns
Comply with legal & tax regulations
Cooperation with tax consultants & auditors

THE WORK TASKS REQUIRE

Commercial training or comparable qualification
Professional experience in accounting (DATEV, Lexware an advantage)
Knowledge of tax law & accounting
Careful and structured way of working
Ability to work in a team & strong communication skills
Very good knowledge of German, English an advantage
Secondary school leaving certificate or equivalent desirable
1 year of professional experience in accounting desirable

Generally flexible working hours between 8 am and 6 pm.
