Reproduction

Several clutches per year, up to about 25 soft-shelled eggs. Incubation period at 30 °C about 60-70 days.

Temperature

Floor temperature between 35-40°C, localised heating up to 50°C can be achieved by using spotlights which provide additional light. Night setback to room temperature. Precise temperature control is achieved by using the Thermo Control PRO made possible.

Air humidity

30-40% slightly higher at night, whereby 60% should not be exceeded.

Daylight fluorescent tubes, e.g. Daylight Sun ECO in combination with the Light Strip.

Substrate

Loose, absorbent substrate such as Jungle Bedding, Snake Bedding or Eco Bark. No gravel or sand!

The king python is a peaceful animal towards conspecifics, and several specimens can usually be kept together.
